Hi I'm a glass artist and was wondering if you had any product that would hold a piece of glass and enable a light to be put behind it- hang from it - I think it's called a sconce???light fitting

Thanks

This is the sort of thing - although I'd mak the glass to fit the light. Or a feeling light fitting type thing with more bulb hang down

Thanks

Hi Beryl
Im Martin and work at Lampspares with Richard.
We dont have anything like this im afraid but one suggestion would be to find a cheap wall mounted light from B&Q or Argos  etc and strip it down for the wall mounting bracket.
These brackets are almost certainly only made for the complete wall light.
The sconce you mentioned is a wall mounted light normally pointing upwards.
Sorry we couldn't help in this design but will always keep an eye out for a solution for you.
Martin

Unless you can make some kind of enclosure/box that you can fix glass to then you can drill a hole in bottom/top/side/back etc for a cable entry then fit a lampholder inside.
The only issue is making/designing a box, as martin says may be easier and cheaper to buy a pre made light then modify it.
Unless you are after a custom look that would want to sell then maybe going to a metal fabricator to make a nice looking enclosure.

Hope you find an answer to your issue, if you have any questions please post here or call martin on 01903 776644
